Take care of your hair!
Shampoo, conditioner ... Our treatments for oily hair!

We all have different types and natures of hair, making us unequal when it comes to the number of shampoos to be done in our week. Some have straight hair, others wavy, curly or frizzy but it is above all the type of scalp that will interest us in this article... And in particular, oily hair .

We will therefore see together what oily hair is and what care to use!

Some information about the hair...

Did you know that we have nearly 100,000 to 150,000 hairs implanted on our skull? Each hair is built by a root also called hair bulb and one hair shaft, the latter being the hair itself. Our hair is mainly formed by keratin and some melanin, pigment providing color. Our hair grows according to three phases : anagen, catagen and telogen. This process allows the multiplication of the cells present in the bulb allowing the growth of the stem.

For most people, the hair is an asset: clean, shiny and voluminous! This can change everything to the perception of our face. This is why, when you have oily hair, you quickly feel "dirty" and uncomfortable. However, the secretion of sebum giving rise to oily hair is a natural process. Indeed, sebum protects the scalp, moisturizes and nourishes it . This has a direct impact on the frequency of our washes which therefore differ according to our hair type, our environment....

Sebum, what is it exactly?

Sebum is produced by the sebaceous glands. These glands are found all over the body at the base of hair and hair, except the palms of the hands and soles of the feet. Together with sweat, they create the hydrolipidic film. This film protects the skin and scalp from external aggressions.

Produced excessively, it coats the pilosebaceous follicles, asphyxiates the roots and thus makes the hair greasy. This gives this shiny, shiny, sticky and therefore flat appearance...

The causes that can accelerate this process are our environment, our lifestyle, too frequent shampoos, too irritating and unsuitable treatments...

Our treatments and recommendations!

First of all, avoid washing your hair every day. This weekly gesture can be irritating and aggressive for the scalp. If you shampoo too often, you risk stimulating your sebaceous glands and therefore secreting more sebum: it's a vicious circle! If so far you have been washing your hair every day, space it out little by little and accompany this change with natural care and solutions. You can, for example, use dry powder shampoos such as orange powder or talc allowing the absorption of sebum.

You can also create your own homemade shampoo adapted to your hair type by adding the ingredients you need. Our recipes from shampoo and D'conditioner are ideal for creating the appropriate treatments yourself.

We advise you to carry out, once a week, a mask with green clay. Indeed, it includes many purifying and rebalancing properties, ideal for oily scalps. You can find our recipe just here.
